The new landings spots in Fortnite chapter 3 season 2 is Command Cavern and Rocky Reels. Both locations have IO Airships floating above.
A new Fortnite season means that the ‘best’ landing spot has changed to a new location that contains the best ground loot and other items. While the shift from the last season to chapter 3 season 2 in Fortnite hasn’t been substantial, there are a handful of new locations on the map. With players being tasked to join the resistance to free the Zero Point, new movement options are available, including a faster sprint and the ability to mount ledges. In addition, those looking to complete their Battle Pass are given an entirely new set of unlockable cosmetics to earn. The best way to level up the Battle Pass has been to complete challenges but selecting the best place to land goes directly in hand with that.
With Fortnite being a Battle Royale, landing in a good spot is arguably the most important section of the game. The first few seconds can make or break the player’s experience as landing somewhere too populated runs the risk of encountering enemy players while being underprepared. On the other hand, landing in a barren location with no enemies might be boring for some. Ultimately, it depends on what the player is trying to accomplish during their matches. Therefore, selecting where to land should be decided before the game even begins.
There are three things Fortnite players typically do when participating in the Battle Royale. This includes completing challenges, collecting kills, or wanting to survive. These all go hand in hand with one another but require different things in order to be done correctly. Therefore, selecting the best Named Location to land is what players should do first. These are the best landing locations in Fortnite chapter 3, season 2.
The Best Landing Locations in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2
- Best Landing Spots For Kills: Tilted Towers, The Daily Bugle, Rocky Reels: These areas typically have tons of foot traffic for players looking to get right into the action. With tons of buildings to choose from, there are bound to be chests with valuable loot inside. In the case of Rocky Reels, a new IO Airship is flying above it with its own set of bonuses to collect.
- Best Landing Spots For Surviving: Chonker’s Speedway: A handful of challenges reward players for surviving longer in the Battle Royale, and there’s no better place to land in Fornite than Chonker’s Speedway. If the player goes to the racetrack, they’ll find a few sportscars with Big Wheels and a full gas tank. Jump in that and use it to get around the map quickly. Avoiding combat is much easier when zooming in a fast car.
- Best Landing Spots For Challenges: Command Cavern, Synapse Station, Rocky Reels: These locations have new IO structures. A handful of the week one challenges focus on IO Guards, including chesting chests inside their airships. It’s possible to clear multiple challenges in these locations. Clearing them out will reward players with 20,000 XP each.
Since the season just started, players should first focus on unlocking all the locations on their map. Landing in these areas will highlight them on the map for future matches. The game also rewards XP for landing in new areas. In addition, Fortnite chapter 3 season 2 has added both Doctor Strange and Prowler. They are unlockable skins are part of this season’s Battle Pass, with Doctor Strange being the tier 100 reward. Those looking to achieve the Prowler skin will need to clear out his specific Prowler-themed challenges when they become available.
