Mike Reveals He & Lauren Are Planning Baby No. 2

A second baby may soon be on the way for Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his wife Lauren, as he reveals they are working on adding to their brood.

Jersey Shore star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino revealed that he and his wife, Lauren, are working on having a second baby. The Sorrentinos’ love story dates as far back as their college days. Their relationship was on and off, as Lauren confirmed in a 2018 interview that they took a break for “however long Jersey Shore was.” However, they rekindled their love shortly after the break, and Mike popped the big question during filming of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

Mike and Lauren may be one of the loveliest couples in reality TV history, but their relationship hasn’t been a bed of roses from day one. Shortly before their marriage, Mike pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion in January 2018 and was sentenced to eight months in prison in October 2018. Despite all the drama, they finally said their vows at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, on November 1, 2018. The former Marriage Boot Camp star and Lauren announced the birth of their baby boy, Romeo Reign Sorrentino, in May 2021. Since becoming parents, the reality stars have stopped at nothing in gushing over their growing brood.

Reality star Mike, 39, and Lauren, 37, evidently love their roles as mom and dad and are ready for a new family member. In an interview with HollywoodLife, Mike revealed his and Lauren’s plans for another baby. He made the revelation while walking the red carpet alongside Lauren and co-stars Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Deena Cortese and Jenni “JWoww” Farley. Mike said, “We are working on our second one right now.” He also joked, “It will happen. Matter of fact, we had an amazing time trying just last night.”

While Mike and Lauren are trying to have their second child, their reality TV pal Snooki is not interested in going down that road anytime soon. She confirmed she’s done with having babies for now but might consider giving birth to a third child when her two kids are older. However, having a second child seems idyllic for Mike and his wife as this will balance the number of kids during their children’s playdates. In addition, the TV stars confirmed that their children’s hangouts are essential as they all see each other as family.

In the meantime, it appears that Mike and Lauren will be quite the busy couple next season as the Jersey Shore couple’s plans for baby number two comes while their son, Romeo, gets set to celebrate his first birthday. In addition to that, the lovebirds have also started filming Jersey Shore: Family Vacation season 6. However, the couple’s love for children knows no bounds as their current busy situation has little effect on their plans for another baby. That being said, fans can only hope Mike and Lauren can keep up with combining work and parenting after increasing their brood.
