A new trailer for Paper Girls on Prime Video, based on the famous comic book series, offers the first glimpse at the highly anticipated show.
The new trailer for Paper Girls on Prime Video has been released. Paper Girls is based on the science fiction comic book series of the same name, written by Brian K. Vaughan and illustrated by Cliff Chiang. The comic book series ran from 2015 to 2019. Just a year after the series ended, a television adaptation from Amazon Prime was officially green-lit in 2020.
The official Twitter Page for Paper Girls on Prime recently released a short new trailer for the upcoming adaptation. The new clip dramatically goes from one close-up to the next of the girls staring into the camera, with voice-over narration ominously foreshadowing the twists and turns promised in the upcoming show. Check out the official tweet revealing the first glimpse of Paper Girls below:
Paper Girls, initially set in the year 1988, follows the story of four twelve-year-old girls and newspaper delivery girls who become swept up in a strange, time-traveling mystery when forces from the future invade their town. The cast list for the show includes Sofia Rosinsky, Camryn Jones, Riley Lai Nelet, and Fina Strazza. Celebrated comedian and actor Ali Wong also joined the production last year, playing an older version of Erin, one of the show’s central characters. A set release date still remains unannounced, as the tweet accompanying the video only offers a sly “coming soon” for Paper Girls.
