Maya Vander is bossing up and introducing her all-female team of agents at the Selling Sunset star’s official Miami-based real estate firm. Maya has traveled back and forth between Los Angeles and Miami for the last five seasons. The Israeli realtor is primarily based in Florida but comes back to West Hollywood to film and sell lavish homes with the cast. Maya has shared her hopes to open her own firm one day.
Fans have gotten an inside look into Maya’s journey as a wife, mother, and real estate agent. She grew up in Israel and moved to Los Angeles in 2002. As a real estate agent, Maya shares her skill between The Oppenheim Group in LA and Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Miami. Maya keeps her husband private and out of the public eye. But she is happily married and the pair have welcomed two children. Maya gave birth to a baby boy, Aiden, in April 2019 and welcomed her daughter Elle Madison in May 2020. The two miracle babies came after Maya experienced two miscarriages. Late last year, Maya revealed she was seeking closure after having a stillbirth with her third child.
Now the next part of Maya’s journey includes her own real estate firm in Miami. The Netflix star took to Instagram to unveil her new all-female team of agents. “Introducing… The Maya Vander Group team,” Maya captioned a photo standing alongside her three team members. “So excited to continue to share this new chapter. Miami we’re taking over!” she added. Maya praised her new team for “working hard & pushing everyday,” and shared the “love and respect” the Vander agents have for their clients. Caring for the client is “SO important in order to be successful in real estate,” Maya explained. The Maya Vander Group‘s Instagram page describes itself as an agency “Combining knowledge & passion to ensure the best-in-class experience for our buyers and sellers.”
Maya has become the first agent to go full throttle with their own agency. Davina Potratz attempted to break out on her own but eventually returned after not finding much luck outside of The Oppenheim Group. Christine Quinn might be the next one to open her own agency. The show villain teased her plans to open her own agency after being removed from The Oppenheim Group following revelations of her attempting to bribe a client. Fans are wondering what Christine’s dynamic will be with the group now that she’s no longer an agent with The Oppenheim Group.
With Maya opening her own agency, it makes sense why she’s teased the possibility of not returning for season 6. Maya is focusing on her family and new business. As a mother, wife, and CEO, Maya has a lot on her plate. Taking time out of her busy schedule to fly to LA and film Selling Sunset might become too much of a hassle. But her show appearance could help give Maya’s agency the marketing she’ll need to get it thriving and dominate the highly-competitive Miami real estate market. Maybe she’ll secure a spin-off around the new agency.
