Why Fans Say Kara Bass ‘Peaked’ In High School

90 Day Fiance’s Kara Bass was revealed as a cheater who “peaked in high school” after fans witnessed her 10-year reunion and a meeting with her ex.

90 Day Fiancé season has captivated the audience with many cast members facing a lot of backlash for their perceived immaturities, such as Kara Bass, who has been described by fans as “peaking in high school” after witnessing her 10-year reunion on episode 7.  Kara and her Venezuelan fiancé Guillermo Rojer, who is six years her junior at 23, met in the Dominican Republic when she was there for work. After moving there full-time, Kara and Guillermo got engaged and moved in together. Now, Guillermo is in the U.S. on a K-1 visa.

While many fans are rooting for the young couple, some are also worried for Guillermo, as Kara has been described as controlling by fans, friends, and family. She says she’s not controlling but has a clear idea of what she wants and will go to whatever steps are necessary to achieve it. Guillermo has already become a favorite among the 90 Day Fiancé cast, with many flocking to social media to give him praise for his kindness and for standing up for himself. Still, others question Kara and her intentions in the relationship. After witnessing a meeting between Kara and her ex-boyfriend at her high school reunion, many see her as someone who has no plans to self-improve.

After the new 90 Day Fiancé episode aired, fans expressed their opinions about Kara and her ex-boyfriend, Kris, whose career is a rapper. The couple reminisced about being popular and “successful” in high school, winning best-dressed and homecoming king and queen. Since high school, Kara has bounced from job to job and currently does balloon art, which was shown when she and Guillermo set up a balloon wall for the reunion. When Kara began talking to her ex-boyfriend Kris, he made sure to connect with Guillermo to let him know that Kara is a controlling partner and that it is important that he learn to say “no” to her. Kris then revealed that he and Kara broke up after he found out she cheated on him after high school. Kara claims she has changed since and would never cheat on 90 Day Fiancé’s Guillermo. As a result of these revelations, fans believe Kara peaked in high school.

Even fans on Reddit have called Kara and her ex-boyfriend Kris, “the definition of peaking in high school.” Several of them called out Kara’s hypocrisy when she claimed to have changed since her previous relationship while glorifying her time in high school and supposedly not recalling her infidelity. Though many viewers felt that Kris was similarly past his peak, others came to his defense, saying that he did well in befriending Guillermo and warning him about Kara’s hypocrisy and controlling nature. Fans saw 90 Day Fiancé’s Kara as remorseless when it came to cheating on Kris, and he expressed that he still has trust issues in relationships as a result. Kara, who calls herself a “cougar,” even brushed off the incident as something minor and forgettable. Her lack of accountability shows that Kara has not reflected on her past enough to change in the last decade since the infidelity took place.

The viewers hope that Kara can move past her controlling and self-centered nature in order to be a good partner to Guillermo since spoilers revealed that the couple is most likely married or still dating. If Kara can begin to recognize the harm she has done in her past, instead of glorifying her teenage years, perhaps she can move forward and become a better wife for Guillermo. Fans will continue to wait to see how things will unfold for the couple over the rest of 90 Day Fiancé season 9.
