There are different outfits that can be unlocked in The Quarry following the July 8, 2022 update, but not everyone will have access to them.
There are alternative outfits for each playable character in The Quarry, but they won’t be accessible to everyone. Currently, only players who purchase the deluxe edition of the game will be able to unlock and utilize the ’80s Throwback outfit set. There may be additional outfits that all players can unlock in future updates, but there’s nothing official at this time that indicates additional styles will be released.
The ’80s Throwback outfits will automatically be unlocked in a future update for anyone that owns the deluxe edition. The update will be implemented on July 8, 2022, at which time players will receive all of the alternate styles for the nine playable characters. Additionally, this update will also allow friends to play online multiplayer in The Quarry. Since there are no in-game requirements for unlocking new clothes, once the update is released, players should be able to change each character’s outfit right away.
Since the deluxe edition is the only version of The Quarry that will include the new outfits, players will have to spend a little extra to unlock them. The price will vary slightly depending on the platform and if the game is physical or digital. Besides the 80s Throwback outfits for all of the playable characters, there are a few additional perks that are included in the deluxe edition.
Everything Included In The Quarry Deluxe Edition
The Quarry‘s Nick, Abigail, Emma, Kaitlyn, Max, Jacob, Laura, Dylan, and Ryan all have 80s-themed outfits that will be available on July 8, 2022, and each set of clothing has a unqiue design. However, new clothing isn’t the only perk for purchasing the deluxe edition. Gorefest Movie Mode, instant access to the Death Rewind system, and the Horror History Visual Filter Pack are also included in the deluxe edition.
If the Gorefest Movie Mode is selected, players will be able to watch the game without needing to make choices, and this particular mode will ensure each character dies in the most brutal way possible. With The Quarry‘s Death Rewind system unlocked automatically, the game can be set back to a certain point before a character dies. If the character’s death is related to an early choice that occurred too far back, the Death Rewind system won’t help. However, the feature can still give players a second chance to save someone.
The last bonus in the deluxe edition is the Horror History Visual Filter Pack, which can change the aesthetic of the game using one of three filters based on iconic horror movie styles. Aside from the 80s Throwback outfits, the other features in the deluxe edition are unlocked as soon as the game is downloaded. Once the new outfits are released on July 8, 2022, players can completely change the look of The Quarry by using the deluxe edition’s features together.
The Quarry is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, and PC.
