To find and catch Hisuian Sneasel in Pokémon GO, Trainers must acquire and hatch a specific Egg type during the Hisuian Discoveries Event.
One of the featured Pokémon of the Hisuian Discoveries Event in Pokémon GO is Hisuian Sneasel, a Fighting- and Poison-type pocket monster that initially appeared in the Nintendo Switch exclusive, Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Now, Trainers will be able to get their hands on this unique cat and weasel-like Pokémon until the end of the event on August 2, 2022. As one would expect, catching the Hisuian variant in Pokémon GO is different from obtaining the standard version of Sneasel. Therefore, Trainers need to know the special technique of getting Hisuian Sneasel into their Pokédex.
To catch Hisuian Sneasel in Pokémon GO, Trainers must hatch a 7km Egg acquired during the Hisuian Discoveries Event. This Egg type is characterized by a gold-yellow shell dotted with blotches of purple. When hatching one of these event Eggs, players have a chance of obtaining a Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Voltorb, Hisuian Qwilfish, or Hisuian Sneasel. Unfortunately, Hisuian Sneasel cannot be Shiny and only comes in its standard form, as seen in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Nevertheless, getting this new variant will be a treat for fans of the Hisuian Pokédex collection in Pokémon GO.
As a Fighting and Poison Pokémon, Hisuian Sneasel is strong against Bug-, Dark-, Fighting-, Grass-, Poison-, and Rock-type Moves in Pokémon GO. On the other hand, players should be wary not to match it up against opponents with Flying-, Ground-, or Psychic-type attacks. An optimal Moveset for Hisuian Sneasel would be Rock Smash as its Fast Move and Close Combat for its Charged Move.
How To Evolve Hisuian Sneasel Into Sneasler In Pokémon GO
After acquiring Hisuian Sneasel in Pokémon GO, the next step that Trainers might wish to take is evolving the Hisuian variant into Sneasler. Sneasler is also a Poison and Fighting-type, featuring stronger capabilities than its unevolved counterpart. However, unlike normal Sneasel, which requires 100 Candy and a Sinnoh Stone to change into Weavile, Hisuian Sneasel must meet different conditions.
To evolve Hisuian Sneasel into Sneasler in Pokémon GO, Trainers must feed the pocket monster Candy ×100 and walk with the Pokémon as a Buddy for 7 kilometers. Once these two conditions have been fulfilled, players can evolve Hisuian Sneasel into Sneasler during daytime within the game’s AR world. Keep in mind that the required Candy type is standard Sneasel Candy, as the Hisuian version does not need its own special candy. Once Trainers have acquired Sneasler in Pokémon GO, they can use Rock Smash and Close Combat as its highest DPS Moveset. Like Hisuian Sneasel, Sneasler is resistant to Bug, Dark, Fighting, Grass, Poison, and Rock Moves. Conversely, it is weak to Flying-, Ground-, and Psychic-type Movesets.
