Why Kaitlyn Bristowe Hates Watching Two Leads

Former The Bachelorette lead and host, Kaitlyn Bristowe, hates watching two leads this season. Viewers now know why she doesn’t like the new format.

Kaitlyn Bristowe is not a huge fan of The Bachelorette season 19 having two co-leads. Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia are the first co-leads to feature for the entire season, making this a first for the franchise. Now, the former The Bachelorette lead is speaking out about why she does not like two leads aren’t something she agrees with.

Kaitlyn starred in The Bachelorette season 11, where she briefly had a co-lead, Britt Nilsson. However, this was different as the men competing voted for who they wanted to be the sole Bachelorette after night one, with the men ultimately choosing Kaitlyn. The former The Bachelorette lead is now speaking her mind about what she really thinks of the current season of the show.

While watching the Monday, July 18 episode, Kaitlyn had a lot to say on Twitter about how producers are editing The Bachelorette season 19. She tweeted, “I (expletive) hate this…Am I being dramatic?? I cannot believe they are doing this to these women, and to the men. #TheBachelorette.” Kaitlyn also went on to say that she believes that the series was edited to make it seem like Gabby didn’t tell Rachel that they kissed the same guy, making her more upset with the way this season was playing out.

Despite The Bachelorette season 19 and Kaitlyn’s former season, the idea of two leads isn’t new in the franchise. The last time it happened, Tayshia Adams was brought in to replace Clare Crawley after she got engaged to Dale Moss and left the show. Two leads have also happened before on the international shows The Bachelorette Australia and The Bachelorette New Zealand. Even though this season has two leads, it is unlikely to happen again as the producers stated that this season was “hell to film.” It seems Kaitlyn will likely not have to watch another season with co-leads again.

When coming up with new ideas for the series, having two leads was unexpected. However, fans were excited after they saw how Gabby and Rachel’s journey on The Bachelor ended. But, some fans, like Kaitlyn, didn’t like the new change but were interested to see how the show would play out with two leads for the entire season. The show is entering week four now, and if viewers want to see the rest of the season play out, they will have to wait and see if Gabby and Rachel find love. Overall, viewers want to see both ladies find their happily ever after.
