Kody & Robyn Brown Argue Over Christine In Preview Clip

Even though Christine Brown is no longer in the family, Kody and Robyn Brown will be seen arguing in the newest season of Sister Wives. Kody and Robyn have been attached at the hip since they married. However, with the loss of a wife, Kody may be on edge going forward.

Sister Wives season 16 showed numerous cracks in the Brown family dynamic. Between Kody’s strict COVID-19 rules, the women all living far apart, and the Brown children revolting, Kody had his hands full. Through it all, Robyn has stood by Kody’s side. The two started to live a monogamous life, even if they refused to admit it to the family. During this time, Christine became fed up with how Kody was treating her and chose to finally leave her 26-year marriage in November 2021. Even though Christine is no longer a sister wife, it seems her memory is still causing issues amongst the family.

Thanks to Us Weekly, fans are getting a sneak peek at what it looks like for Kody to stand his ground. In the scene, the 53-year-old complained about how Christine packed up all his stuff into boxes and tossed him out of the family home. Kody could be heard telling his favorite wife that he didn’t “understand anything.” Robyn seemed to be rooting for Christine, telling her husband that he needed to put in more effort and stating that he should sleep on the couch to prove his love. Robyn told the cameras that Kody “should be there, present.”

Naturally, Kody did not see the argument in the same light, as he argued with Robyn that he was being punished. In the Sister Wives clip, fans saw Kody acting out and questioning his wife’s motives, telling the cameras, “I don’t want to be sexist here, but why does a guy have to sleep on the couch? It’s his room too.” Fans will recall that last season, Kody told Christine he was no longer attracted to her and didn’t want an intimate marriage. For Kody, sleeping on the couch was comparable to a “walk of shame,” so he refused to do it.

It is clear that Kody was not too keen on giving Christine the power during their fallout. Sister Wives fans have been getting breadcrumbs via numerous trailers, leading them to believe season 17 will be filled with fireworks. Kody is obviously triggered by being kicked out as he told the cameras that Janelle and Robyn have done it once, while Meri often kicked him to the curb when she didn’t get her way. While it is clear Kody was not willing to play any game, fans will see him lose a very important aspect of his polygamous lifestyle–his wife.

Sister Wives premieres September 11 at 10 p.m. EDT on TLC.
