Just over two years after his death, Chadwick Boseman has won a posthumous Emmy Award for his Marvel’s What If…? performance.
Boseman scored widespread acclaim for his time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which began with 2016’s Captain America: Civil War before leading his own solo Black Panther movie. He would carry on his role though appearances in Avengers: Infinity War, Endgame and What If…?.
As the Creative Arts Emmy ceremony gets underway (via Deadline), it’s been announced that Chadwick Boseman has won a posthumous Emmy. The late actor was awarded the trophy for his performance as T’Challa in Marvel’s What If…? animated series. The Disney+ show marked Boseman’s final appearance in the MCU after his death in 2020 from colon cancer.
