From loners on the island’s edge to doctors to small business owners, there is someone for everyone with more datable NPCs to come. In order to grow the relationships between the player and any NPC, players must give them gifts, mainly food items and dishes. This increases the number of hearts shared with the NPC and can trigger special heart events; cutscenes that allow the player to learn more about the NPC.
