90 Day Fiancé’s Usman “Sojaboy” Umar wants to marry Kimberly Menzies, but the duo might have to make some sacrifices to appease his mother.
90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Usman “Sojaboy” Umar’s mother offered a compromise to marry Kimberly Menzies and this might be the best decision for the reality star. For the last two seasons, 90 Day Fiancé star Sojaboy has been dating 50-year-old American woman Kimberly. Although the duo struggles to communicate and have vast cultural differences, they believe they are ready to get married. However, they need Sojaboy’s mother’s approval to get engaged.
Unfortunately, Sojaboy’s mother has her reservations, and rightfully so. After having one failed marriage with Lisa “Baby Girl” Hamme and no kids, his mother is worried he won’t live up to his cultural duties. Additionally, she struggles to understand Usman’s preference in woman, which also concerns her. However, his mother has offered a proposition that some viewers think would work well for the Nigerian rapper.
Usman ‘Sojaboy’ Umar’s Mother Wants Him to Marry Younger First
At first, 90 Day Fiancé star Sojaboy’s mother was against the marriage idea, much like his first wedding. She claimed she was nervous that Usman would never have grandchildren. However, his mother suggested afterwards that he marry a younger woman to bear children before marrying Kim. While it might not be ideal for the couple, the outcome isn’t much different.
Usman ‘Sojaboy’ Umar Will Still Have Two Wives
Since in Usman’s culture, it’s normal to have multiple wives, Kimberly has already shared her open-mindedness to allow him to have multiple wives. With this compromise, the chaotic duo would still marry and Usman can still follow through on his cultural duties, only in a different order. However, the problem comes into play when Usman told Kimberly the first wife “gets all the love” and the second wife is the baby maker. Now Kim has a difficult time accepting being the second wife.
In the end, 90 Day Fiancé star Kimberly’s reservations have more to do with her lack of knowledge of the culture and the multiple wives’ life, especially since Sojaboy described the situation differently than it truly is. If she was open to Usman having multiple wives, the order of wives shouldn’t really matter. It’s a small price to pay to appease her potential in-laws and marry the love of her life. Overall, though, it appears the couple might be once again on the verge of a breakup and 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? fans are eager to see if the couple will have their happy ending.
